Silpat® is a non stick pastry mat introduced for the first time in France in 1982. Thanks to its lasting non-stick properties (2000 bakes) and its easiness to be cleaned, the Silpat® is much more economical than silicone paper. Silpat® is ideal for baking all Danish pastries and other patisseries baked on trays. It can also be used to bake all sorts of biscuits, shortbreads and sponges such as Joconde sponge. Finally, Silpat® is ideal for sugarcraft. It is effective for baking or freezing and can be used at temperatures varying from -40°C to + 300°C. Made in France.
